Random Thoughts of Me being 30...

I'm just 28... and being 30 isn't not that far from today. Why bother now? well, Don't get me wrong at my age I am totally happy in what I have today ( a permanent job, a loving boyfriend .. uhmmm what else.. a happy life ) anyways.. This paranoia thing struck when most of my friends will be celebrating their 30th birthday this year .. Time really flies so fast that one day you'll realize your not young anymore. I'm not creating another bucket list here on what to accomplish before "The Day", but I just one thing in mind that I will be giving to myself... like birthday present...but ofcourse that would all depends on the budget. I would want to try to moving out from my parents house...to be more independent..

let me just sight some stories of my friends.

I met this bachelor in one of my trip. He spent his 30th birthday as a bagpacker and travel solo where nobody else know where he is. Said bye bye to FB for a while.. enjoyed the amazing view of the place, met new friends, took amazing pictures, -- and then posted what happend on facebook.  Isn't that cool but It would truly needed guts to do that.

Today is my college best friend's birthday, due to some conflicts of schedule we will not be able to celebrate it today but we well meet tomorrow. Her plan is that we will watch a movie and afterwards will eat at Vikings at her treat. I'm really looking forward for that because ...one meal on a weekend would cost 1,000++ pesos ..ouch.. anyways she would be paying for it. She even invited my bf to join us.. even though it would be a little awkward having a guy on girls night out ( just for the sake of me being there..so touched) :))) in response to that I'm planning to give my girls a rose and I little token which I'm still thinking as of the moment what to give.... for the actual event watch out for my post. Vikings here we go..

It's surprising to see that there are so many write ups about being 30..(<-- the idea that I'm not alone thrilled me)  I got here list of my favs.

She did it all 30. :) very inspiring eh.. worth documenting. I really enjoyed her blog. and her writing skills is superb.. no doubt why her blog was featured in a national newspaper.

Among her 30 list.. here some of what I think is applicable to me.

  • Swim with whale sharks in Donsol, Bungee jump, Go spelunking in Sagada.(<--given a chance I would actually do it..Im a thrill seeker ..I would definitely want to try at least one before I get married)
  • Run a marathon.(<- running 21K is one my goal..and im working on it now)
  • Master cooking up a gourmet 5-course meal. (since im the one preparing my food,..though not a gourmet.. its still a descent meal)
  • Ride a motorcycle.( I always ride a motorcyle..driving one is a different story..I'll probably get there someday..ok fine I'll schedule it )
  • Forgive.

Growing old in inevitable, but Growing Up is optional. I believe age is just a number, what matters most how you made each years of your life worthwhile and how you made yourself better each day. I still have less than two years to be the person that I want to be..
